September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month
Suicide survivors and those who have struggled with mental health are vital voices in the conversation about well-being. Their experiences shed light on the complexities of mental health challenges and the importance of seeking help. By sharing their stories, they foster understanding and compassion, creating a supportive community that encourages healing and resilience for others facing similar struggles.
I have struggled with my mental health most of my life so being a part of this event and being able to spread awareness means so much to me. My advice for anyone who is struggling- don’t be afraid to ask for help. Don’t be afraid to protect your peace and set boundaries. No matter how you may feel in the moment, you are loved, you are important, and God is always ready to carry those burdens for you- even when it’s hard to feel His presence. He is always with you. ~Radleigh
